DOST-FPRDI recently trained members of the Quezon Furniture Makers and Workers Association (QFMWA) in Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya how to make attractive handicrafts and small furniture using scrap wood.

A project of the Provincial Cooperative Affairs Office, the workshop was attended by 8 women and 12 men. DOST-FPRDI's For. Robert A. Natividad and Fernando Pesigan served as trainors.

"We introduced the trainees to innovative furniture designs that we found on the Internet, and it was heartwarming to see how excited they were to learn about these," said For. Natividad. (Rizalina K. Araral & Julian O. Roxas, October 20, 2017)#
