DOST backs DENR's development of environment friendly enterprises

The Department of Science and Technology Region 1 (DOST 1) through its Regional Director, Dr. Armando Q. Ganal (3rd from right) recently tied up with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 1 (DENR 1) and other cooperating agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs) for the implementation of the DENR's development of Biodiversity Friendly Enterprises (BFEs) for the stakeholders of the Agoo Damortis Protected Landscape and Seascape (ADPLS) and the Hundred Island National Park (HINP). The BFEs program intends to develop livelihood for the local stakeholders within the protected areas. The DOST 1 through its Provincial Science and Technology Centers in La Union and Pangasinan committed to provide technical assistance in terms of technology trainings, product development, product promotion, and other technical assistance needed for the enterprise.
