DOST V THRU PSTC CAMARINES SUR PROVIDES FUND ASSISTANCE TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS FIRM

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) V, through the Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) Camarines Sur awarded its fund assistance to NGN.NET Enterprises last 25 April 2022 for the project "Upgrading the Telecommunication Services of NGN.NET Enterprises" as beneficiary of Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program.

The NGN.NET Enterprises is owned and managed by Mr. and Mrs. Jude and Lucille Reganit, located at Door 4 Pavilion, Panganiban Drive, Naga City. Wireless Transmission Link, Microwave Radio Installation/Antenna Rigging, Structured Cabling, and Supply and Installation of Fiber Optic systems are some of the services the company offers. They also provide installation of point-to-point Wi-Fi connections in the province.

Through SETUP, the company will procure 1-set of Wireless Network Link, 1-unit Fusion Splicer, 1-unit Optical Time Domain Reflectometer, and 1-unit of Fusion Splicer. The procurement of the said equipment will improve and upgrade their existing telecommunication services. This will allow the company to become competitive in providing its services due to the state-of-the-art equipment.

The Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) is a nationwide strategy program of the DOST to encourage and assist Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in adopting technology and innovations to enhance operational efficiency, boost productivity, and promote competitiveness of products and services.
