DepEd Quirino shines in Nat'l Science Quest 2017

CABARROGUIS Quirino, Feb. 20 (PIA) - - The Department of Education (DepEd) here has won in various contest categories during the recently concluded 14th National Science Quest of the Association of Science Educators in the Philippines in Baguio City with the theme, "Save Mother Earth Through Sustainability of Clean and Green Environment."

The Quirino team headed by Schools Division Superintendent Orlando Manuel brought home the championship trophies in Robotics and Slogan Making through the Cabarroguis School of Arts and Trades (CNSAT) as well as Tugsayawit through the Quirino General High School and Collage Making for G11 through the Dumabato Integrated School in Maddela.

Likewise, CNSAT ended first runner up in Poster making; Diffun High School, first runner up in Robotics; and Diffun Central School, first runner up in Tugsayawit .

Diffun Central School also won Second runner up in Collage Making for Grade 1 to 6 while CNSAT bagged 3rd runner up under the teacher category.

The competition aimed to promote academic excellence in Science and create camaraderie and sportsmanship among the learners and coaches.

Manuel thanked Cong. Dax Cua, Gov. Junie Cua and all the education stakeholders in the province for their support to the DepEd.
