DOST launches Food Innovation Center

Micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in the province of Agusan del Norte now have the chance to avail of the use of the facilities and equipment of the newly-launched and inaugurated Food Innovation Center (FIC) of the Department of Science and Technology in partnership with the Caraga State University (CSU), located inside the campus of CSU, Amapayon, on Tuesday here.

DOST Secretary Fortunato Dela Peņa said that they are continuously collaborating with other government agencies in trying to look for quality solutions using new technologies to help and assist the different sectors and entrepreneurs improve their businesses and livelihood.

According to Engr. Edgar Garcia, TAPI-DOST Director, the agency's FIC helps the micro, small and medium enterprises in providing them the new technology in food processing that will help them in their business ventures and makes their food processing easier and more convenient.

Various officials and representatives from different national and local agencies and MSMEs were present to witness the said inauguration.
