PAGASA raises yellow rainfall warning alert in Metro Manila

Weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday morning issued a heavy rainfall warning for Metro Manila as Tropical Storm Isang continue to enhance the southwest monsoon.

PAGASA raised the yellow warning level at 8 a.m. and warned of flooding in low lying areas in the capital region.

Heavry rains are expected to continue within the next three hours.

Other areas covered by the yellow warning alert were Bulacan and Quezon provinces.

PAGASA said heavy rains are also expected to continue within the next two hours in Bataan, Zambales, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas and Laguna.

Light to moderate rains, meanwhile, are expected in Tarlac, Pampanga and Nueva Ecija within the next three hours.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said Isang has passed the Batanes area and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Tuesday afternoon. —ALG, GMA News
