NRCP joins DOST RSTW - 8

The National Research Council of the Philippines joins the celebration of Region VIII Science and Technology Week – Science for the People / Invention and Innovation for the People on 19 – 21 September 2017 at Robinson's Place, Tacloban City.   1) DOST Secretary Fortunato T. Dela Peña underscores in his speech some of President Rodrigo R. Duterte's aspirations, these are:  reduce inequality; create more opportunity; and expand potentials for growth to benefit Filipino people particularly those who are economically disadvantaged;  2) DOST Region VIII Director, Dr. Edgardo M. Esperencilla gives some information on DOST 8 efforts to contribute to realizing the goal of the science department in attaining sustained S&T development via creative inventions and technological innovations for the people of the Region and the nation as well;  3) This year's theme of National Science and Technology Week,  DOST Regional Celebration;  4) DOST Secretary Dela Peña with other DOST Officials in the ribbon cutting ceremony/opening of the Exhibit, (L-R) DOST STII Director Richard P.
