The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will commemorate the science and technology (S&T) journey for the past 60 years in SM Supermalls nationwide from 22 July to 21 October 2018.

As the premiere S&T authority in the Philippines providing central direction, leadership, and coordination of all scientific and technological activities to support national development, the DOST celebrates with SM in honoring the Department's milestones.

All which just started with an aspiration to break new grounds for innovation to economic progress in 1958, the DOST have been trailblazing and has constantly evolved into one of the most respected departments in the government throughout the years.

Today, the DOST has been continuously moving to build dreams and create significant change for the people through science, technology, and innovation.

A brief glimpse of the DOST's history, commitment, technologies, and services will be exhibited in selected participating SM Supermalls across the regions.

The DOST through the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) will showcase the technologies developed by its attached agencies as means to help solve the pressing problems in health, agriculture, nutrition, transportation, disaster-risk management, and climate change, which are widely present in the country.

DIWATA-2 – the first Filipino-made satellite and the automated guideway transit (AGT) are some of the technologies that will be featured in the exhibits.

Moreover, Filipino-developed products of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) assisted by the Department from all over the regions will also share the spotlight in the exhibit.

The series of exhibits will run from 22 July to 21 October, starting in SM Cherry Antipolo and concluding in SM City Cagayan de Oro.
