2018 NSTW ready for collective prosperity

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) holds the 2018 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) on 17-21 July 2018 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The annual culmination of the scientific and technological breakthroughs and innovations in the country is celebrated during the third week of July to conduct commemorative ceremonies and activities highlighting the contribution of science and technology to national development.

Under Proclamation No. 169, the NSTW aims to gain substantial support from the public and the private sectors to promote sustainable development.

This year's theme, "Innovation for Collective Prosperity," brings local technologies which create positive impacts closer to the communities as part of the DOST's commitment in bringing science for the people.

The celebration is expected to be attended by the whole scientific community and scientific enthusiasts scientists, researchers, inventors, innovators, industry players, academicians, students, and the general public.

Students of all ages will surely enjoy the interactive exhibits and games that will make their experience in exploring the emerging discoveries in science and technology more enjoyable and fun.

Moreover, entrepreneurs can take advantage of the opportunity to look for technologies that would hasten their business transactions or they can adopt directly from the technology generators.

The 2018 NSTW is also a perfect venue for the science enthusiasts to get together and get acquainted with the rest of the science community in pursuing their endeavors in science, technology, and innovation.

The event is open to the public from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free.
