Jica receives Devt Aid Partner Award from DOST at Mission: PHL

THE Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) received the Development Aid Partner Award for Science, Technology and Innovation from Science Secretary Fortunato de la Peña at the recent culminating activity of Mission: PHL, the BusinessMirror Envoys&Expats Awards, the pioneering initiative to recognize the Philippines’s best partners in development cooperation. 

It gives due recognition to the development efforts of countries as represented by their embassies, as well as bilateral and multilateral development aid partners.

“The Japanese International Cooperation Agency would like to express its sincerest thanks to the Department of Science and Technology for nominating us for this award. We would also like to thank BusinessMirror and our friends from the media for this recognition. We also thank our government partners for your continued trust and support for Jica,” Kessy Reyes, senior program officer of Jica, said after accepting the award on behalf of his agency.

The DOST is one of the 10 Philippine government agencies the BusinessMirror forged memoranda of agreement (MOA) with, to help it in the long, painstaking process of vetting he best development projects.
