SETUP focuses on various sectors such as food processing, furniture, gifts, decors, handicrafts, agriculture / marine / aquaculture, metals and engineering, ICT and pharmaceuticals, health and wellness products.

“Out of the 131 recipients, we already have 26 graduates while 111 are still in the process of the SETUP services,” Nuestro said.

He added that through the help and services of the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), problems encountered by the MEs such as expensive cost of equipment and tools will now be addressed through local innovations and fabrications.

Nuestro also expressed optimism on the launching of NVSU’s Technopreneurs Hub as a convergence center to further empower MEs particularly on their business preparation.
