120 E-trikes turned over to Echague town

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 3 (PIA) – A total of 120 Electronic trikes (e-trikes) were recently turned over to the Local Government Unit of Echague by the officials of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Energy (DOE).

Echague Mayor Kiko Dy expressed his thanks for the realization of having an alternative transport vehicle in his town which will be used in various programs and services of the LGU.

“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Department of Science and Technology Region 2 sa pamumuno ni Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang dahil sila po ang naglapit sa amin sa Department of Energy para sa programang ito,” the mayor  said.

Dy said the close coordination of DOST and LGU Isabela has resulted in the realization of acquiring E-trikes for the utilization of the town residents.

The DOST Region 2 paved the way to realize the implementation of energy efficient vehicles to Echague, Isabela aside from  Cauayan City which is also using E-Trikes .

The e-trikes were realized through the project  “Deployment of Rapid Electric Charging (CharM) and Piloting Acceptability of E-Tricycle in Echague, Isabela” which also includes the  establishment  of Charging Stations. (BME/MGE – PIA-2/Isabela)
