‘I-mine mo na ‘yan’: DOST-NCR launches live selling for MSMEs

QUEZON CITY (PIA) — Blending the energetic culture of online live selling with government support for local enterprise, the Department of Science and Technology-National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) is launching the RSTW Quest and Bazaar Showcase on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. live on the official DOST-NCR Facebook Page.
The two-hour promotional livestream will spotlight DOST-assisted micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), giving virtual shoppers an exclusive first look and the opportunity to place advance orders through the official RSTW Microsite ahead of August’s regional science celebration.
Rather than waiting for traditional physical exhibits, virtual shoppers can browse tech-backed products and place orders with a quick click, combining the thrill of live social media shopping with direct support for homegrown entrepreneurs.
This digital bazaar serves as the official soft opening of the 2026 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) in NCR, set to take place from August 6 to 8, 2026, in partnership with the City Government of Valenzuela.
This year’s celebration carries the national theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan,” sub-themed “Science, Technology, and Digital Innovation Driving Food Security, Sustainable Energy, and National Resilience.”
The three-day event will bring together students, educators, researchers, startups, industry leaders, and local government units.
Through interactive exhibits, forums, technical training, and recognition activities, the 2026 RSTW aims to highlight how science, technology, and digital innovation actively tackle pressing urban and regional challenges.
