The 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit brings together industry leaders and the local EV community

Every day, more people are considering making the switch to electrified vehicles. With fuel prices remaining unpredictable over the past few months, marked by constant price hikes and only the occasional rollback, many consumers may finally be reaching their tipping point. It also means the upcoming Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) couldn’t be arriving at a better time for the local automotive industry.
Taking place from October 22 to 24 at the SMX Convention Center, the 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit will bring together some of the biggest names in the rapidly expanding local EV space, offering visitors a closer look at the latest developments in electric mobility.
PEVS will feature 15 brands spanning both four-wheel and two-wheel vehicles, representing a mix of legacy manufacturers and emerging players. Participating brands include BYD, Kia, Toyota, Nissan, MG, Geely, Zeekr, Deepal, Mini, Lotus, Changan, Avatr, Dongfeng Motors, Forland, Nwow, and NXT.
The summit will also showcase related industries, including battery technologies and renewable energy experts. Representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Energy (DOE) will also be present, adding a government perspective to the event.
This year’s PEVS is taking on a more international focus under the theme, “Driving ASEAN Forward: Building an Integrated Electric Mobility Ecosystem.” Beyond the vehicle displays, the summit will highlight national policy roadmaps, regional partnerships, and collaborative initiatives between governments and industries across Southeast Asia.

To show EVAP’s commitment to expanding the reach of electric mobility, the association partnered with the Philippine EV Community (PEVC) during the recent pre-event press conference. As the country’s largest EV-focused community, with nearly 100,000 members online, PEVC serves as further proof that more Filipinos are embracing the EV lifestyle.
PEVC is bringing community-led EV displays to the summit, showcasing the grassroots-level realities of living with electric vehicles. On the third day, PEVC will also hold owner-to-owner sessions for curious visitors to listen to real-life stories surrounding EVs.
According to Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Philippines, customer demand for “new energy” vehicles is currently at its highest levels. With interest in electrified mobility continuing to grow, the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) is expecting its highest visitor turnout yet for this year’s summit.
Beyond the welcome surge in EV demand, EVAP is also placing a strong emphasis on increasing awareness of EV technology and the wider ecosystem that supports it. The association hopes to highlight the practicality of electric vehicles, the potential savings in lifetime ownership costs, and, most importantly, the current and future state of the country’s EV infrastructure and support network.
Major automotive brands, such as BYD, Kia, and Toyota, will have their EV lineup ready for visitors to explore and even test drive. Key industry players, such as ACMobility, will also have a showcase of their countrywide EV ecosystem.
General admission to the summit is P100, and students can enter for free upon presentation of valid IDs.
