DOST-FPRDI rolls out training offerings for 2023

Expand your knowledge this year with DOST-Forest Products Research and Development Institute’s (DOST-FPRDI) free online training courses.

From March to November, get a chance to advance your skills on the following select topics: resin lamination, charcoal briquetting technology, wood and bamboo waste utilization, handmade paper production, wood and non-wood forest products (NWFPs) preservation and treatment, lumber kiln drying, dyeing and bleaching of NWFPs, basic finishing techniques for wood and bamboo, and bamboo craft making.

DOST-FPRDI’s training courses are non-formal, short-term learning modules on the Institute’s technologies and information on forest products utilization. Last year, DOST-FPRDI conducted 31 training-webinars and 23 on-site training for around 2,600 participants.

“We want to ensure that we are reaching as many clients as we can by providing free technical training. We hope to be of help even to small entrepreneurs and cooperatives who want to expand their businesses,” explained Dr. Maria Cielito G. Siladan, Technical Services Division Chief.
